About

WE RIDE is a campaign to bring awareness to Public Education in America.

Started by educator and activist, Kelly Clark in San Francisco, CA, the campaign has grown rapidly to include a national network of teachers, parents, and students. Kelly teaches fifth grade at Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy in San Francisco.

The bicycle ride will be a 3200 mile cross-country journey. Along the way we will collect your stories, ideas and experiences. Our goal is to create a collective movement for equity in public education.

WE RIDE because:

  • Education is a civil right that allows people to grow their dreams into fruition.
  • Our children depend on us to make sure their education is safe, has prioritized funding, and is joyful.
  • We realize that when educators are respected our children benefit.
  • Schools are the pillars of community.
  • Community is responsible for supporting schools.

I like the site. It’s clean, crisp and to the point. Looking forward to additional content. I love the fact the jump from theory to action was taken!

This is an AWESOME and much need movement!! I think it’s important to state if this is a non profit organization and disclose the 501 C3. I would love to support!

Thank you for recognizing and commenting on the importance of the public education. We will ride to WDC from SF knowing there are folks all across the land ‘who get it’…..

Yes. Yes. We are not profiting other than having better educated folks making smarter choices for all of us.
